The firm recently obtained the complete dismissal of all claims against its client in a lawsuit brought by a Plaintiff alleging copyright infringement, violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), and unfair competition. The case was dismissed, in part, after the firm's investigation discovered that the Plaintiff and its counsel made misrepresentations to the United States Copyright Office (USCO) about the contents of the deposit and date of first publication in order to avoid summary judgment.
