Arbitrator removed for evident partiality and opposing counsel sanctioned for lack of candor

Following the entry of an Arbitrator's Award in which he suspiciously found against our client, the firm investigated and discovered that he had failed to disclose his relationships with opposing counsel.  The firm immediately moved AAA to disqualify the arbitrator on multiple grounds and the firm's effort was successful.

Thereafter, a new arbitrator was appointed who upheld the award, but denied any award of attorneys' fees to the opposing party after it was shown that she had never actually paid any fees, and that her attorneys had been untruthful about their client's payment of attorneys' fees.
